3/28/14 Fishing Report

We’re still waiting for the spring warmup on Lake of the Woods, but that leaves us with another week of ice fishing! The walleye are moving towards the shoreline in 27-31 feet of water. We’re seeing more walleye and still getting saugers with perch on and off. Pike have also been active and we’ve seen some big ones come through the ice. Small jigs and dead sticks are working best, while jigging spoons keep the fish active. Overall, fishing is good at Rocky Point with some slow periods mid-afternoon.
